Run for Madilyn

Join us for the Run for Madilyn 3K kids run, 5K & 10K on May 23, a run/walk created in honour of our 7 year old niece, Madilyn, who we lost to brain cancer. This event is about coming together—families, friends, runners, and walkers—to show love, strength, and hope through movement.

Whether you’re racing for a personal best, walking with loved ones, or pushing a stroller, everyone is welcome. Every step you take helps support our family and raises awareness and funds for pediatric brain cancer.

Madilyn's Story

At just 6 years old, Madilyn was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in December 2025.

No family ever expects to hear those words. In a moment, life changed in ways no one could have imagined.

It is with heavy hearts that we share that Madilyn passed away on March 6th 2026. She was the inspiration behind this event. While our hearts are broken, the run for Madilyn will still take place in her honour. Although she fought hard, our Heavenly Father had bigger, better plans for her. We have the comfort that she is no longer suffering

Madilyn was a bright, strong, and courageous young girl who had faced challenges no child should ever have to face.

This run is more than just a race. It’s a way to stand beside Madilyn and her family. It’s a way to show love in action. Every step taken and every dollar raised represents encouragement, hope, and community strength.

Brain cancer affects thousands of children and families each year. This race is our way of turning a difficult journey into something powerful—bringing our community together to support Madilyn's family and help other children facing similar battles.

50% of proceeds from this event will go directly to Madilyn's parents Adam and Laurissa. They will be using the money to help pay for the headstone for our beloved Madilyn. The remaining 50% will be donated to The Brain Tumor Research Center at Sick Kids to help fight the fight against cancer and give other children like Madilyn a chance.
